Menopause

Menopause is an inevitable stage of life. But somehow, it still seems to sneak up on us. The list of symptoms is bizarre and constantly changing.

  • Blurry vision
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Joint pain + body aches
  • Cold flashes
  • Hot flashes
  • Emotional rollercoaster
  • Brain fog 

One of the most frustrating things I really noticed was this unexpected guest --- 25lb weight gain. I couldn't understand! I exercise and eat pretty good. I had not made any major changes in my life, yet the weight gain refuses to leave. Another symptom I have is I experience hot / cold flashes, where one minute I can be bundled up like it’s -40 degrees and then 30 minutes later, I’m kicking the covers off like it’s 100+.

Without any real understanding of what was/is happening to the body I once knew, I began researching and listening and learning all things menopause. Over the past 2.5 years, the more I researched, the more confused I became. The information overload is overwhelming. Many of you may know that I always want to take a holistic approach to any health issues. So I tried lifestyle modifications such as: 

  • Walking
  • Reduce alcohol consumption
  • Reduce caffeine intake
  • Balanced diet

However, the holistic hormone remedies just weren't cutting it.

Enter...the DUTCH TEST! This is a very detailed test and I am hopeful it will offer some insight into some treatment options. 

We all have different experiences with menopause symptoms. My goal in sharing this is to empower women to discovering new ways to take care of our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being on this journey.
